I have a first gen 2003 "Doggie-Door" G35 Sedan w/ factory Nav.

I bought the GNET Nav Video Module:

When I took apart my dash, on the back of the factory NAV LCD Display Unit, there's a longer 2 Row, 26-pin harness so this does not plug into the included harness.

I've checked behind the DVD-Rom too. I'm assuming this is what the FSM refers to as the Navi Control Unit. On the back of this is two 3 Row, 24-Pin harness which also don't fit the included harness.

I've looked everywhere for a matching harness to connect to but have been unsuccessful. Is there somewhere I'm forgetting to look?

I contacted the manufacturer and they assure me that it is the right harness they sent me. They suggested since I have the FSM and know the location of the RGB+Sync that I just cut into those but that defeats the purpose of plug and play.

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this or have any suggestions.
Nissan has been known to change harnesses without warning from year to year, and model to model. There arn't many places to hide the harnesses, if they are different then they are different. Its not hard to splice the wires, and I personally have never understood why people are so afraid to hardwire stuff. It make take a few extra minutes, but the end results are the same, with less money spent.

I'm perfectly capable of splicing and it looks like I'll have to go that route but it defeats the purpose of purchasing a plug and play. I don't mind paying a bit more for convenience. Why pump your own gas on a cold winter day when there's full-serve

I've just installed the Gnet Nav Video Module and have a little problem. The video switches between Nav/Video 2 fine through the wired remote and Video 1 automatically on reverse. The colours are correct and image does not roll however only on video (1+2), I have angled static lines (Looks like X's) running through. The Navigation video is unaffected. I've tried different grounding points but no luck. Hope someone can offer some advice. Thanks in advance.

Hi
The unit is plug and play behind the LCD screen. You don't have to cut any wires. Plug the unit in supply 12V and ground and you are done. Feel free to call me at 718-763-7367.
Thanks Dominic www.TVandNav2Go.com

Dominic. Whats the current price for a 2006 PnP unit? How do you switch from the factory Nav input to Video 1 input? Thanks

Is it safe to discuss playing DVDs on the 07 sedan? or will this get locked down like every other topic in the 07 sedan forum?

Need some diagram to show how the converter easily hook up

Hi NavTv,

Can you post some pics to show us how we can easily DIY the pnp converter, that would prompt more sells, I believe.

Thanks,
~A

So to reiterate what it said on the first page, all that is in use is the screen, but you have to attach another device to play movies? Could a ipod be hooked up to show what it shows visually?
