Hi,
I have an 08 G35x with navigation with the 07-08 maps. I figured I would update the maps so I went to the Navteq site and punched in my vehicle model and year. It says that once I purchase the map they will send me an authorization code and I have to go to the dealer for the update. They also say that there is a dealer service fee on top of the map purchase. It appears that this procedure is only for the 08's.

My questions;
Can I update the maps myself?
I see there are plenty of DVD map updates on Ebay, can I just use one of them?
Has anyone updated the maps on an 08? if so what did you have to do?
