2 Eclipse Aluminum 10s?
2 Eclipse Aluminum 10s?
I just finished a custom box that will sit 2 10" subwoofers, now my question is: what do i fill it with? I was thinking 2 eclipse aluminum SW7104 subs that RMS 400 watts. What do you guys think i should use, i am willing to spend up to $400. Also, i have a JL 500/1 amp, if i get 2-2ohm dual voice coil subs, the highest OHM rating i can get is 2, can the jl 500/ amp push that, or will it clip. Please help me . THX

quote.... "R.I.P.S. stands for "Regulated, Intelligent Power Supply" and is a central feature of JL Audio's “Slash” series amplifiers. The remarkable R.I.P.S. System™ ensures consistent power delivery over a wide range of battery voltages and load impedances.
The bottom line of the R.I.P.S. system is: Optimum power, at any impedance between 1.5 ohm and 4 ohm per channel, at any vehicle voltage between 11V and 14.5V"
got those from JL's website, which means no matter what ohm your sub operated at? it will have same power output, so it really doesnt matter what dual 2 or dual 4 ohm sub you get, the JL's amp will be fine.

My box fills the area under the rear deck, each chamber is .75 cu/ft. Thanks for the input
