I couldn't disagree more about the car interface. The interface is great for the way I listen to music. Given how limited we are by the CD changer interface it's quite a good system. I can't think of too many ways to improve it, aside from adding hierarchial searching. Totally agree about it being overpriced, though.

Shellbmb: What version of PMM are you using? 3.0 is pretty buggy. The 2.3 version that came with my PB is much more reliable. If you're having problems with one, try the other.

I have version 2.35; however, I believe this to be a hardware problem. I'm sending back the entire unit to have it looked at.

I will say I'm a little disappointed in the service I've received from PN. I bought this thing a month ago and all I have right now is a 900 paperweight. I've been told several times that some tech guy will call back, and he never has. Today they just told me to send it back. At least they pay for the shipping. But they won't send me a new one. So I'm left to wait for them to turn it back around and send it back to me.

Spill: it didn't take near as long as they say it could. I got mine in less than a week. But right now, that's not saying a whole lot. Let me know how your install goes. I imagine you'll be enjoying yours long before I will.

Finally.

Finally got the phatbox returned to me. They said it was a hardware problem in the phatbox itself. Wasn't the DMS cartridge like they thougt it was. So far the thing is awesome. I just need to play with it some more and figure out how to get the most out of it.

I did figure out how to pseudo lenghten the pre-wire cord. If you unwrap it from the electrical tape and plastic conduits it is housed it, you can easily get enough slack to mount the phatbox on the rear seat. It requires temporarily removing the Bose amp and its mounting as well as a few tie-downs. But well worth it.

Not yet. I have enough slack to do so, but I lost the screws that came with it and haven't been to the Depot to get some more.

But it really is quite simple. The only thing I cut was one of the tie downs. The rest was just unravelling. I had to move the PB since it was getting in the way of my golf clubs!! =)

I bought one about 3 weeks after buying my G35S and I couldn't live without it now. I was using an iPod in my previous car but to have everything integrated with the default HU. Take a look at the other most recent thread which has my comments about the SAT firmware...
