Doing a bit of upgrading on my sound

So, I have found that first of all even with my stock sub in the boss equipped 2007 g35x sedan I get a bunch of rattling. So, I want to do some sound deadening. Is dynamat the best? Is it worth having a pro do it? Second, I want to add some more kick. I ordered http://cgi.ebay.com/Infiniti-G35-Sedan-Subwoofer-Sub-Box-Enclosure-2x12-/290396376608?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item439cf90e20 sub box and now need the equipment to go with it. which 12" subs and Amp do you recommend? Thanks

I have a JL 12w3v3 sub hooked up to a JL 500.1 Class B amp and it hits pretty hard. You could also go the Kicker route and get 12L7's but they are square and I'm assuming your sub box is round.

Not too many subs work with that little bit of airspace...box also looks like it seals off the trunk from the cabin

these would work

Dynamat's far from the best, they survive because they're easy to find and the name has become synonymous with vibration control dampeners. The CLD tiles from SDS that eggyhustles mentioned are far superior in every way.
If you're uncomfortable with removing interior trim pieces, it's worth it to get a pro to do it, it's cheaper than replacing a broken piece, otherwise it's only slightly more complicated than putting stickers on the wall.

The IDQ12s are fantastic SQ subs, and they're only 6" mounting depth, so they'll fit just fine in that enclosure, however, you might want to look into polyfill to make up for the lack of space in that box. It's a sedan, so you're not losing fold-down seat features or anything. Two 12's should be able to boom through the 3/4 MDF and rear seats well enough anyway, but you might want to get somebody with experience to tune it to compensate.

You might want to go with a bit more amp than a single 500 watt for two 12's in sealed enclosures firing through rear seats and the box itself.

wow thanks for this amazing advice! So do you think I should go for a 1000 watt or multiple of a lower wattage? I don't care about losing the doggy door btw. and Im plenty comfortable with taking apart interiors (I do interior light installs all the time) so I have to take stuff apart to mount lights, drill for switches etc. I would just need a bit of guidance on where to place the material. How much weight do you think this whole project will add? my back sags allot as it is so I have a feeling im going to be needing coils very soon. Also, is it worth it to fabricate some kind breathing hole for the subs? And as far as poly, what will that help?

If they fit in that enclosure, good choice on the woofers but like Wrathernaut said, you're going to need 2 of those amps that I told you about to power 2 12's. I got my amp from this guy and have been satisfied thus far.

Happy with my 10w6 in a sealed box, but I wasn't in a position to test out an IDQ10 at the time.

could that be done just by drilling a few holes on the back or side of the enclosure?
