07 sedan+ DD

Im in the middle of adding 2 12" subs to my bose 2007 sedan.. I want to know if its possible to replace the stock unit with a double din or to get a double din dash kit.. I havent seen any one try it.

I believe the 07 sedan has the newer interior right??
like this

if so, I dont think there is a dash kit out (yet)

you can use a rockford 3sixty or a JL clean sweep to have greater audio control

Lack of real ability to change out the headunit is part of the reason I went with the '05 over a new '10.

I'm not sure if anyone has measured the outputs on the Bose headunit, but I would guess that like the previous generation, it outputs a fairly clean signal. So long as you tap the low-level outputs from the headunit as they enter the amp, you'll have a good source for your subs.

I wish it was straight forward.

The screen is probably not a standard double din size (7" wide x 4" tall"

the controls for the radio are probably attached to the radio somehow.

I think the biggest thing is the AC vents being built into the same plastic parts as the screen.

Cost is probably another thing.

The dash kit is at least $170 for a metra and if you want a JDM kit with ac controls you're looking at around $250-$300.

The price for a 07+ would probably be a bit more.
