cd player unit not working!

I have a "04 g35 coupe at 150,000KM...i have problems with the cd player/heat control...the unit is not powering on. I cant even control the heat/a/c. I checked the fuse, but the fuse was good. Does any1 know if this would be a common problem and would there be any solutions to fix this problem..thanx

Common problem, yes. Best fix is an aftermarket radio, which will require purchasing a new headunit and the stuff in my double din shopping list that's sticky'd at the top of this forum.

Yes, you'll need to buy the kit and a radio. You can do it for all for under $300 if you go with a $150 stereo from crutchfield, get the discounted metra kit for $100, then buy the steering wheel control adapter from amazon.
