sealed in a 4080? or just a plain box to sit in my trunk haha if it will sound better than thats fine but if it doesnt matter id like the 4080
but sounds like the 4080 is too small so will look at 12w6v2 sealed but the jl 500 wont be enough to power that would it

Sounds like you don't listen to suggestions.
My two cents, if you must go JL then go with one 10w3 or 12w3 in a ported box. I don't really know the measurements of the coupes trunk so you will have to see what fits. A w6 is for sq if you ask me.
If you want spl go ported. Figure out what fits in the trunk and will be good to go.

My friend has two 10w1s in a ported box and it is LOUD.

If you are open to other suggestion then try RE audio they make great spl subs.

"loud enough" is an opinion

Most peoples "loud enough" is not near what I like.

I love ported boxes tuned low ~30hz with tons of wattage

Most of the time I cant see out of my rear view mirror...buts thats me

The W6 is an SQ sub. I can almost promise you wont like how they sound.

They are made for people who want great sound quality at a budget price, yes the W6 is a budget SQ driver.

Sounds to me like you want a ported set up with alot of output.

I dont understand why you are stuck on JL or the W6 even.

Have you heard any other set ups?

Dont trust a sound board in a shop
