I have 2 10w6's with a Alpine 1000.1. Now my problem is that whenever i bring my volume past 21, my cd either skips or stops playing for a second then starts again. is it the headunit? or is it becasue theres alot of power going in thru the factory amp? Im not sure if i bring it to the dealer, if they can do anything for me. Anyone else have the same problems?

 

Does it do the same thing when playing the radio? If so, it may not be an issue with the head unit, but with the power demands of the amp.

try turning off the alpine amp 1000.1, and then seeing what it does when you turn the volume up there.
