JL 13W7 in a G35. Can it be done?
When i got my car i bought a JL 13W7. The sub is so big im not sure it will fit. Has anybody ever seen or heard of this being done? The truck is so small yet i would like to use some of it.
12.5" sub fits fine with room to spare in a sedan (box looks awful, its my test box, notice the non pre drilled holes =))
Box is 14" high, im sure you can squeeze a 14.5" or so box in there, measure to be sure.

yeah ive got a coupe and i want sealed. Subs last longer and take up less room. I was thinkin if i take out the spare tire(only way i can get the sub in there) i might be able to make it work. I just wanted to know if anybody has heard of it being done. By the looks of the pic up there, the sedan has alot more trunk space.

Your best bet without taking the spare out is to make a 2 piece box that is ported. You could probably make it sealed but I would be worried about it actually being sealed when the 2 sections are joined together.
Yeah i dont know about a 2 peice box. Id have to do some lookin into that. I was gonna try my luck with a fiber glass to get all the room out of the spare tire area. Think that would add an easy foot of space. Now if i shouldnt go off the JL specs on the box. What square footing should i go off of? This will be my first fiberglass box so i want to make it right rather than messing it up and haveing to re-build over

just gut the hell out of your trunk
you will have lots of trunk space
