Angry Need help! Cd player is possessed!

Ok....so my cd player hasnt worked for a while but just recently it has started some crazy ish! Even with the power off it will start this. Reads aux, sounds like cd player clicking, and there is a loud boom/pop in the speakers. I cant explain it and it is probably the most annying thing everrrr. Any of you had this happen? If so how do you make it stop???? Bc hitting does not work.

Reads AUX?

Is this an 07? If so, get off the board and make your dealer fix it under warranty.

It sounds fairly similar to other problems. Solution is to cough up a few hundred bucks and replace it with something aftermarket.

I can't say I remember seeing AUX in an 03-07 (except 07 sedans), there's no auxiliary inputs

Regardless, time for a new radio.

Depends on your budget.

You can go as cheap as $250, or as much as $2,000.

For a nav unit with awesome features, Pioneer Z120BT or Kenwood 9960, that'll run you upwards of $1500+ with a JDM kit.
For a basic upgrade, I'd go with a Pioneer 3200BT, with a JDM kit. Total cost of about $800-900 if you do it yourself.
For total budget, a $150 radio + $100 metra kit from crutchfield.com combo, plus the steering wheel controls ($40), and if you've running Bose, you'll want the PAC ROEM-NIS2 (another $40).

My shopping list sticky in this forum has pictures comparing the two kits in case you're unfamiliar with the differences.
