speakers - fronts 6.5, mid rear 6.5, rear deck 6x9
watts - most you'll find are around 50-100 watts RMS unless you're looking to shell out some cash
type - everyone will recomend something different, lots will recomend polk, infinity, or jl, i personally like diamond audio, not too pricy for the sound quality you get in return. I have diamonds in all 4 of my vehicles. My old truck 72 c10 has had diamonds in it for about 4 years with a simple 175x4 amp running them the entire time with no problems.

Phoenix Golds are fairly cheap and have been reported to work well with the Bose amp.

For an audio upgrade, the amp is what's holding back quality, so that is what I'd recommend changing first for upgrade of audio quality, however, since the factory headunit is so prone to failure, it's usually the first to be upgraded.
The Bose amp, in addition to being no more powerful than most headunits, introduces a really bad EQ to drop the bass as volume goes up to give more power to the midrange (like Star Trek diverting power from life support to shields).
For actual speaker recommendations you're best off posting a new thread with your budget, what music type makes up 80% or more of the music listening time and your overall goals and plans for the system.
