Seeking system set up recommendation

Hello, I plan to purchase an 05 coupe. In my previous vehicle - Acura RSX/S I have these audio components -
1)Eclipse CD, eclipse changer,
2) diamond s600 components,
3) boston 6.5 rears,
4) eclipse 400w amp for subs,
5) alpine 4 channel,
6) and 2 8" eclipse subs

*** I would like to use as much of these things as possible in the G35.
I plan to only get the normal radio selection, because Im not too fond of the bose radio that comes with the premium package.

My question: If I get the normal radio, is it hard to just take it out and put in the single din unit? Can I just buy a pocket to put below, or do I have to get a double din unit? I also dont understand what the connection with the AC controller is to the double din unit.

or do you advise just buying the bose system..keeping the bose unit and swapping out the bose amp with my amp and stock speakers with my speakers?

Please explain.

Note I did a search on here, but I could not find the info I was seeking. Please advise.

Re: Seeking system set up recommendation

The cheapest thing to do is purchase the regular radio and then replace it with the double din unit from Japan. Then you can install all of the components you already have and it'll sound better than the Bose stereo. The reason you have to purchase the AC unit is because the AC controll is integrated into our stereo system. If you remove the radio, you lose the AC also. So in the end, you'll only have to pay $400 for the double din unit, but that's still much cheaper than the Bose stereo upgrade.

ok...the G have double din size opening, but the radio and AC control bouttons are soldered onto one piece of IC board! so you can not just add a pocket to the second din opening, unless you are very good at cutting IC board! so easlist way to do this is to buy an stand alone AC controller and double din dash kit! i would e-mail this guy and double check with him to see if he have any 05's kit and parts numbers!.....J's Garage Export, Yoshitaka Ikeda, yosi@j-garage.com

these are for the 03~04's
