2004 G35 Sedan - Remote Wire Question

Quick question...I have an 04 sedan with premium bose and navigation.. i'm adding a sub in the trunk and i'm looking for the best option for tapping a remote wire.. i've been browsing and i think the best route would be to tap off the stock amp??? but i have no idea what the color code is.. can anyone help me??

Also, I bought an amp kit with 8AWG wires. However, my amp (JL Audio J2 500.1) recommends using a 4AWG wire minimum. Will an 8AWG wire work?

Thanks!

It's the sky blue wire at the amp.

Never, ever, use wire smaller than your amp recommends.

Unless you like fire in your car.

Lol thanks Wrathernaut. I'm not a pyromaniac so I'll get the 4 AWG wire.

I tapped the remote wire on my 04 coupe with Bose and the wire did not supply enough voltage to turn on my PPI amp. I ended up tapping into one of the cig lighters at the fuse panel. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue. My amp cycles into an auto-mute cycle if it doesn't get the needed voltage from the remote wire. Had it for around ten years and that the first time I had an issue with it. Works fine as wired now.
