i know i need to get a usb cable to connect the ipod, is it a usb and auxilary cable or usb and the part that goes into the bottom if the ipod to charge it.

and does it charge the ipod in the car too of just plays the music? thanx.

I have an 06. Mine isn't a USB, just the regular IPOD plug and it does charge the device.

 

its a regular ipod cable, close it up!
