CD Player not working

Hey guys, I'm new on here so if this question has been raised before, I apologize in advance.

I have a 2005 g35 coupe and just recently none of the 6 slots are able to play cds. I get an error reading "CHECK DISC."

I tried to find out more about this problem however it seems like the 03 models were the ones that had the most problems with these; they also reported their whole console going out and the car blasting a/c uncontrollably.

Has anyone had this problem with the 05's? if so, did your car start to blow out a/c uncontrollably?

yes mine did that. the a/c would be on full blast and can only control the cd player thru the steering wheel control. Problem was solved with aftermarket deck and metra DD that came with a new circuit board. But ur's is most likely a problem with the cd player itself.

My has done this twice so far. I found out that extreme temperatures and humidity cause the CD player not to work. Turn the heat on high with the AC on to dry the air thoroughly. Keep trying and when finally starts to work again, use one of the CD cleaners. Apparently the laser cannot read the CD and gives you the "CHECK DISK" message. It's worth a try before you go through the expense and trouble of replacing the unit.
