Power a sub off a Bose amp?
Hey guys I just want a bit more punch out of the factory Bose system I have. Can I run an 8inch sub off of my factory Bose amp? Thanks - Marco
no... you will definitively need an aftermarket amp with a power and ground to the batter/ frame. that why the base is so weak.. Its a low power amp with tiny wires lol.. if you just want a bit more bump you can do it for under 250
i'm planning on doing the same. if the guru's here could chime in, i'd be appreciative as well.
looks like we will need an aftermarket amp to power your new sub. from the bose system from my understanding it looks like we can run a line out converter to convert the signal to rca which will then go to your amp that will power your sub.
if anyone could chime in on where to hook up the line out converter, i'd really be grateful. is it after coming out of the bose amp or before the bose amp? which wires will i need to tap to the line converter from the stock wiring?
