What fuses to put in Distribution Block????

I have a streetwires distribution block. It accepts 1/0awg input which im going to use and has 4 4awg outputs. I am only using 2 of these outputs though. The block has come with 20amp fuses. I am going to be running a Kenwood xr-4s which outputs 480w RMS and 1200w MAX along with a Alpine Pdx-1.600 which outputs about 725w RMS and 1500w MAX. I am using a 250amp fuse near the battery already. Wondering what size fuses I am going to need in the block. Ones rated for the RMS of the amps or MAX? The run form the block is only maybe 1 1/2ft maybe 2ft max. Thanks

Use 0 on your input and 4 on the output. Geez you don't listen to sound advice lol

As far as the fuses go, i go by the fuse rating on the amp itself and go up a notch..always seemed to work for me.

My Block wont accept 0 gauge thats why. I am already pushing it by trying to fit 1/0 in it. Plus I highly doubt I need a thicker power than 1/0 gauge for my setup. Fuse ratings on the amp are around peak output so i guess thats my answer.

one post says it has 0ga inputs and the other post says it doesnt accept 0ga.....

anywho, your fusing the wire,not the amps.

4ga = 125 amps

0ga = 300amps

Idk where you see this but I have not even mentioned 0 gauge that was eggy. I had originally though it only accepted 4 gauge but found out its underrated and can fit 1/0 with a little force. I wouldn't even think about using it because I don't have that much stuff to need it. My block only accepts maxi fuses so getting a 300 amp maxi would be difficult. If I use fuses that the amp has I'm guessing it's ok because the wire will never see that much power with my 2 amps. I'm prolly gunna do what eggy said and use a little bit above the amps fuses combined.
