Problem with back feed of sub?
Problem with back feed of sub?
I had a shop installed, crunch 700amp and 10" kicker sub. Also two extra tweeds. The first 10" kicker sub, sound to low so the shop upgraded the sub today. Now the system sound great, but I have a problem. When Amp is on, which is all the time, and I go to turn off the car, the sub makes a loud basses noise for about 10 seconds. It's so loud is shakes the car. Ok Not that loud, but I think you have the idear. The amp does turn off, when the car is off. I know the noise a feed back from the amp. O, yes, It did it with the old 10" sub, but not that loud. I going back to the shop tomorrow, But I would some feed back from anyone with the same problem.
Re: Problem with back feed of sub?
This is great, NO REPLYS. I did get it fixed. They had to rewire the amp to shut off with the key of the car and installed a cut off for the amp.

It sounds like you need a different installer instead of advice from this group. Your installer should have connected the remote on terminal of the amp to a switched source in the first place.
Glad to hear it's setup correctly now.
