10w6v2 vs IDQ10v2
The sundown doesnt fit though without modifying the box. Dont know its exact thickness and dont want to sand too far because than i have a $300 box useless because i got a hole in it. I will give it a shot though i guess. It might help absorb the sound of the so called whoosing air. I know with lower gains I can still use my 600w amp with those but im guessing the output will be kind of low. It would obviously be easier to keep this sub just some modification needs to be done. My output was kinda of low though. Had to have +6 db on the headunit and about 3/4 gain to get a good hit out of the sub at around 34/40 volume. My lights were dimming like crazy also but my new battery comes in monday and im routing the new power cable then to. Maybe the amp is not getting enough power from the 4awg running to the trunk or battery is not powerful enough. Ill give this all a shot a see how it goes. Just want my long drawn out install to come to an end for awhile lol until i have the urge to upgrade to another sub and better speaker amp =).

Oh ugh. Hmmm. I mean I can fit the idq with ease. Anything about 6 and 1/2 inch or less I can fit in there. Hmmmm. That site just had description for that fi. Any idea of where I can buy to see prices?
They're out of stock i believe.
No offense, but it seems like you didn't do enough research. Get the idq..they like small enclosures and are pretty light weight. I think the issue with the sa was you stuffed a heavy beefy sub into a tiny fiberglass enclosure.

Actually the IDQ won't fit. The problem is actually a thing called suspension noise. So its not my fault at all. The IDQ is an oversized 10 that's y it won't fit. I'm just going yo get the 10w6v2.
I have a 10w6v2 in a 4080... Sounds good with all types of music.
Haven't heard the other one you mentioned but most people who get in my car are impressed with what one 10" JL can do... Myself included.
I am using 500w RMS

Yeah ill be using a alpine pdx 1.600 so 600w. I am guessing you are using a 500/1 from jl. I am not a hard core audiophile and feel as though i will be happy with anything that does not sound like a broken muffler XD.
