10w6v2 vs IDQ10v2
I like accurate bass but I also like loud bass when I listen to hip hop. I'm getting mixed views on the idq. It's tight and accurate but doesn't have a whole lot of output. I listen to rock, metal and hip hop. I am using a 600w rms alpine amp and a new boxology 4080 box with .79cu in of volume. I want to know if the jl will sound ok with rock and drums. I know it will be fine with hip hop but I'm worried about rock. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks

Trying to get a refund or sell it. It makes a sound Jacob calls whoosing air which I call a rattle and he says it's normal. When the sub is in its box in the trunk and back seats up I hear it in my driver seat like a broken muffler is in my trunk. His video of him testing the one I sent back sounded horrible. He says it's normal. I don't feel like hearing a rattling sound over my bass.
Heard it doesn't have much output but it's hard to judge without being able to demo anything. Yeah I have never heard a sub make that noise. He posted a video and said it was fully functional so I don't want it lol. I have heard good things about both of these the jl and idq. Has anyone heard a idq10v3 with around 600ish watts?

I got the same sound when it was in my box. It might be because it is fiberglass rather than wood so the sound deadening might not be as good as the wood so I can hear the noise in the cabin. Only thing I can think of. Plus the d4 version does not fit . The d2 did.

Well my definition of output is probably different. I'm not looking for earth shattering output but enough to hear in my car. Don't care about outside of the car. Reason I got small enclosure is obviously for space. Need my trunk space.
