AUX Hookup for MP3 Player

Guys, I have seen a bunch of IPOD/MP3/AUX threads but each one didn't quite answer what I have. I have a 2005 G35 with the stereo below (note: No SAT). My question is, what if any, unit can I but for just a RCA style, NON-IPOD AUX port?

Pac audio. I use to have apac-nis1 and it did ipohne and RCA and 3.5mm minijack. but now I took that old unit out and installed the ISNI571 with the ISBT21 bluetooth and I play my music via bluetooth now. Its sweet now no more wires this is to say if your phone is an Iphone 3GS+ or a Droid like mine. chem them out

Thanks Soad.

The only problem I see with that is I do not have the Satellite ready radio and it looks like those products require it. I also have a BlackBerry and a Zune, neither of which support bluetooth. Looks like I am S.O.L. Guess it is a DIN/New Deck install for me.

Your radio is sat ready. The head units on all 2005-2006 are. There is a cable that extends to the trunk area where the sat receiver would be installed.

On your 2005, this cable would be on the bottom right side behind the trunk trim panel.

On a 2006, the cable is located under the rear package shelf on the passenger side.

If you had SAT, you would access it by hitting the MODE button on your steering wheel to cycle through to the XM1 and XM2 stations. With nothing hooked to the cable, you would skip over them from AM, FM1, FM2 and CD and never see these options.

So let me get this straight, you have to buy the ISBT21 along with the ISNI571 for you to be able to stream audio through bluetooth to the speakers??? Just want to make sure because if thats the case that is what I will end up using.

That way you can have the iphone playing with no wires while stowed away and charging in the armrest. I just want it to be clean and out of sight.

Also what if your car already has bluetooth, would that no longer work if your using the bluetooth from the PAC products?
- could you pick up calls with this new setup?
- could you still use the steering wheel controls to pick up the calls and switch tracks/volume?

sorry for so many questions you just seem knowledgeable in this area and obviously have the experience using them

i installed an isni 531 (Dual Auxiliary Audio Input). When playing mp3's or pandora, the sound is totally muffled. easily fixed with an EQ app.

but since then, i installed an amp and a 10" subwoofer. even with the EQ, i cannot get it to sound clear at all. the bass is super muffled.

has anybody else installed an isni 531? how is your sound quality? might it be a faulty unit?

Or, should i not expect the clarity of a stock Aux jack?

I am just about to install a ini531. Does anyone know of a good place you can find DIY steps to removing the side panels and radio?

There's videos (or links to the videos) for 03-04 and 05+ in this post:
