Just keep the components you replace around to put back in and get good stuff now.

Alright so Wrathernaut, what are the setup that you think I should get in trunk if I want a great system? In your opinion for the cheapest what is the best that I can do

Well, for output, a ported box would definitely be the way to go, but having a box that would work in both the G35 and your next car is a bit tricky.

You might be able to find a thin pre-fab ported truck box/subwoofer/amp combo that you can put behind the seats like this: http://www.crutchfield.com/s_2068TS1...h=ported+truck

That'll be fine in your car and the truck you get for construction work.

Well I don't need a system that works in both cars because my sister is probably going to end up getting this car after me so I'll just keep the system in there and she can throw me some cash maybe. So does that make a difference if I'm not going to be putting it in my pickup?

If you just want loud and affordable find some Alpine Type Rs 10 or 12 inch depending on how much space you are willing to give up
A 12" is usually $120-$130 on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ALPINE-SWR-1242D-12-CAR-AUDIO-TYPE-R-SUB-SUBWOOFER-NEW-/130475904837?pt=Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures&hash=item1e60f84f45
Type Rs work in almost any kind of box.

Find a cheap amp online for $300 or so like this http://www.audioque.com/AQ1200D-Amplifier_p_30.html

find a prefab box at a local shop for ~$100

and use a LOC or whatever money you have for the dash kit

I can almost guarantee you will be happy with that set up

Everyone will talk about how prefab boxes are terrible, they are, but they work when you are on a budget.

wires are gonna cost another $100 or so

do you have anyone who can help you install all of this??

if not you need to set a side some money for that also

Yeah that sounds good. So there's no way I can fit 2 10's? I'm just better off with 1 12"? I don't care about trunk space at all so I'm willing to do whatever.

Oh and what is an LOC?

I don't have anybody to install everything for me. I'm located on long island in nassau county. If anybody knows someone that can do it for me or give me a good deal that would be great.

I forgot you were in a coupe.

I do know they make boxes for the coupe like this

http://cgi.ebay.com/Infiniti-G35-Custom-Subwoofer-Sub-Box-Enclosure-2x10-/290396376651?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item439cf90e4b
the problem is finding a sub that has a mounting depth of less than 6.25"

the type Rs wont work

thats why everyone is saying you have to have a box made
