It's getting cooler out. This will be my first winter where I don't have remote start on my daily driver in quite a few years. I am still waiting for the ST900 to be released so that I can install in into my 07 G35 Sedan with factory push button start. I keep checking the website from time to time as I was told the system should be out before the end of the year. Keeping my hopes up here.

Yes, but has anyone verified that it would work with the 2nd gen G? My car already has pushbutton start from factory that I wanted to keep. I'll read up on the 960 to see if it is compatible. Thanks!

I was told the ST900 would be the next system to be compatible with cars that already come with pushbutton start like the 2nd gen G35. This was before the ST960 was listed on their website. I just did some reading on it and sent them another question about compatibility with my car. The main difference is that my car never came with an ignition key to begin with so I was told I'd have to wait since the ST800 would not work with my car.

Hey i just got the st800 installed a couple days ago and am running into issues, if someone could advice i would be grateful

1. can anyone post pictures of where they mounted their antennas? i feel like mines a little laggy to unlock sometimes when i walk up and it might be due to the antenna

2. if anyone installed this on an automatic, do you have to have the parking brake engaged to start or switch off the car?

3. does the acc and on light remain on at all times during driving?

4. how did you wire your windows to roll up and down for the system?

5. my trunk does not open using the st800 remote sometimes, its like if i am standing next to it and try to open it it won't open but if i am 10 feet away it will

thanks guys any help would be great

1. Should be mounted inside the driver side pillar right about where your head is in height from a seated position.
2. You shouldn't have to but that doesn't mean your installer didn't set it up that way. It SHOULD be set up where the brake PEDAL has to be engaged AND the car in PARK to start.
3. To be more specific- the white light should be lit only when in Park (maybe neutral as well depending on installer). The ACC and ON light (blue and red) always stay on.
4. Specialty. This depends on how good your installer is. It will require another module.
5. I don't know about this one. Two things I suggest- the trunk button is active after you are in range, try opening the trunk with the car trunk button and see if it works. Next, try holding the key on the remote for 3 seconds and see if it pops open.

My .02 for anyone else thinking about getting this system - do not try to find the cheapest price on installation for this unit. It's a seriously tough job (on a G35) and takes someone who has some experience. I made sure I spoke directly to the ACTUAL person doing my install to make sure he knew what he was doing. Funny how quick you can "size someone up" after a 5-10 minute conversation.

1. both the antennas are mounted there? one of my antenna is mounted by the rear view mirror and the on the driver rear window. should i have it moved?

2. the installer set it up that way but he was talking about changing it to the neutral safety switch. he just needs to know the location of the wire. he had another 2004 g35 coupe there at the time and said he found the wire easily under the drivers dash but for the 2003(my car) he might have to run it from the center.

3. thank you. i just wasn't sure if that was normal. also the light is really bright at night

4. ok thanks. apparently for the 350z it does not require an extra module

5. the trunk button is active while i am not in range if that makes sense. it works completely fine from the remote if the rest of the doors are locked and i haven't actually gotten close enough for all of them to unlock. i am probably going to have the installer double check all wires

i actually went to couple of the best reviewed car alarm install places around here and chose the one that had the most cars. also they had 2 g35's at the time so that also gave me an incentive.

thanks for your help

1. No. The proximity antenna should be mounted in the pillar. The other antenna should be mounted on the windshield. I suppose at the rearview mirror is as good a place as any. Mine is mounted right over the keypad on the upper left of the windshield. Vertically. I can start my car from at least 1500 feet away.
2. Yes, definitely neutral safety wire. In a automatic I would be very agitated if I had to lift the hand brake to start.
3. :-)
4. Hmm. Would require awesome skill, but I suppose it could be done. I vaguely remember hearing that the 350z is wired different when it comes to windows. Not 100%
5. I'll go out and check this out on mine. I will report my findings. This part of the install is pretty straight forward, I doubt there is "loose" wiring here.

Perfect! It's great when you see a couple of G's in a shop. One of the most sophisticated vehicles to work on when it comes to wiring.

oooo 1500 feet :O. picture of that too would be awesome

2. did you put yours in an automatic?

3. solved

4. he said he wants to try to do the window aux install again so i'll let you know if he succeeds.

5. yeah just going to play with the programming options and check wiring again

This looks like a really cool product! One question though. On their website, the alarm makes a ricey tune when you autostart or lock/unlock the car. Is it possible to just program the alarm to make a simple beep when autostarting or lock/unlocking? Thats a pretty big selling point for me. Thanks!

I have a question for you? Wheres the park + detection wire? I have everything hooked up but that wire. Sometimes when i'm driving when i apply the brake the system will beep at me three times. i'm wondering if that has something to do with it. Ive also been unable to setup my speed detection feature.

i also had the same exact problem when the parking brake wire was just bypassed and grounded. putting that wire back to the parking brake solved it for me.
