Mixing bose amp and aftermarket amp

I was thinking about running a set of components in the front doors only as well as an amp off an aftermarket amp. But I wanted to keep the Bose amp running the rear speakers as well as the 6x9's in the deck. Has anyone had problems with this setup, and are you happy with it?

The way I see it, this is an easy upgrade I can do myself without tearing my car apart. The door panels seem easy to access and the bose amp is easy to get to to tie into high level inputs.

I was going to do the same thing. I am just going to get a 2 channel amp to power my new component set for the front, but use the bose amp to power everythign else(rears). I also purchased a basslink system to take care of the bass.

Re: Mixing bose amp and aftermarket amp

I have a 4 ch amp with 2 channels running the front components and the other 2 channels bridged to run a subwoofer. The stock bose amp runs the rears and 6X9s for filler. No problems and very happy with the setup, but in all honesty the 6X9s are now completely redundant...
