Is it necessary to update the nav cd? I am noticing some things are not found when searching the database. Thanks in advance for your replies. HD.

Re: Updating the Nav CD

Not necessary, just expensive. And if you are rural, there is no garentee that it will have what you are looking for.

Has anyone done a successful dual-layer DVD copy and have it "read" in a G nav unit yet?

Zenrin puts out a new DVD every year around October for $185.

Their website shows where updated data is available on the new DVD.
