Looking at adding XM to my 06 G35x. Been reading a lot on here about doing a stealth install onto the rear deck. Also saw a DIY to put the shark fin on the room as well (way too technical for me). I have a couple questions and sorry if I missed the answers for these somewhere else.

I really like the rear deck install, but will the magnet cause issues with the sub in the rear deck? Also on the rear deck install, isn't this best for areas that have ground signal repeaters (not sure my area of central WA has these).

Been thinking about a couple options: first is to buy an aftermarket Terk antenna and paint it to color-match (so it isn't as noticeable). The second idea is to do the aftermarket but install a shark fin cover that is color-matched over it and install it far enough back on the room that the wire would barely be noticeable before running around the rear window and into the trunk (might buy a small touch up pen to paint the wire with).

Looking for any thoughts or ideas on the subject, don't want to dump money into it if it won't work.

I have an 06 g35 coupe. & both my gps and xm antenna for my double din are installed in the dash. Behind the clock. Do a search & you should be able to find directions. Nice stealth install, prob not the best place for signal, bu it works fine
