Mounting A Head Unit in Upper Glove box

Hey guys, wondering what you thoughts are in regards to placing an after market HU in the upper glove box? Anyone done it? (with or without NAV) Also, has anyone kept all the Bose stuff and stock HU and just replaced the speakers? Happy with that setup? What problems can you run into replacing 2 ohm speakers with ones that are 4ohm? Thanks in advance...

DigitalWheelz.com is suppose to have a cheap solution to allow any standard DIN unit to go in there. You may want to check that out...

Thanks for the plug rcdash, I'm expecting to get the single DIN converters for the upper glovebox in from the machine shop next week. You can see what the prototype looks like by going here: http://www.digitalwheelz.com/G35DinConverter_About.htm

It should fit any standard DIN device with ISO mounting holes on the side as long as its under 7" in depth.
