Reverse Light Issue

Hi,
For some reason one of my reserve lights is not working. The driver side one to be exact is out and the passenger side one is fine. The bulb for the driver side is fine. I even changed to a new one and it still wouldn't work. Any ideas what it could be? I read that there is a reverse light relay which is located on top of the transmission that can mess up but I am assuming that would take out both lights not just one.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
