Just an equalizer on the Bose?
Just an equalizer on the Bose?
I'm not really an audiophile or freak. I just wanted clear crisp music, not too loud. I think the speakers are ok they have enough oomph for me, i just feel that it needed a little tweaking. so i was thinking w/ just an equalizer, this would be great. anyone tried just this?
Re: Just an equalizer on the Bose?
I think you'll have problems achieving that with the stock system. Some poeple like the stock, some don't. If you're already finding yourself in the "don't" category, then I see a system upgrade in your future.
-Replace front and rear speakers
-Add an amp to push them
-Remove factory amp
-Use a good Line Out Converter LOC to convert speaker level to RCA

Re: Just an equalizer on the Bose?
i said just a little tweaking. i dont need to overhaul the whole system. i've been down that road adding just an equalizer/booster to stock systems and it satisfied me. i was just wonderin if any had done it on our BOSE.
Re: Just an equalizer on the Bose?
to answer your question........yes, it will enhance the Bose system.......however, i added a power amp, new speakers along with the eq...........in your case, adding a passive(non powered) eq should be just fine since you're just looking for a little omphhh from your stock Bose system.......like the other poster said, get a good LOC or an eq that accepts speaker line inputs..........good luck.
