Which size do you use 10" or 12"??

Hi,

I just blew my RF 10" subs , so now I am in the market for subs. I couldn't decide on what size I should get. So I would like to know what size most of us use in a coupe. Please let me know.

I listen to all sorts of music so I cant really give what type of music I listen too.

Also please give me advice on what size should I get for an all around/genre subwoofer... Thanks!

I like 12" subs just cuz thats what I have ran the majority of the time

but I have heard plenty of 10" subs that made my jaw drop in terms of SPL and SQ.

I like 10" subs because they can save room with a small sealed box and can easily reach the same frequencies that 12" or 15" subs can, so don't believe that myth

I would be using 15's or 18's if i had the space, though.

I use 1 10 in my car and it is plenty.. I think they deliver the best balance of tight base and volume. anything above 12 sounds sloppy

I run a 10w3 in a 4080 style box. Perfect to get bass but not be gigantic.

as long as the box has the right amount of air space for the sub you should be fine.

But if you want a nice daily sub, a single 10" sealed may be what you are looking for.

The IDQ is a great sub

i have a 12in P3 and it sounds amazing. the sub i had before was a 10 in P3 and that was good also.

To me any sub can be good as long as you have the right equipment and the right amp
