Is the xm radio a seperate tuner outside of the non-bose factory radio?
Is the xm radio a seperate tuner outside of the non-bose factory radio?
I ask because I'm looking at adding the JVC 3HDT double din radio that's satellite compatible. Will I be able to just plug a cable into the back of the new unit if the xm radio tuner is seperate or do I need to get a new tuner. Thanks
It should be ok to re-use, but nobody's ever reported back with results. You'll have to cut and splice the antenna wire together back at the rear deck, but it should be pretty simple.
Wrather, Just so I'm clear as I'm a complete novice, when you say rear deck, are you talking about behind the existing stereo or in the trunk. I'm not sure where the factory xm tuner is located. thanks Gary
