Best power inverter setup for video game system?

Got a new JVC Headunit yesterday and decided to dust off an old ps2 slim I found in the garage and hook it up to the deck. It works just fine and looks good. The PS2 fits great in the upper compartment right about the glovebox, but I was wondering if you guys have experimented with any good power inverter ideas. The a/v cords are ran thru a hole I drilled in the side of the upper compartment. To get power though all I am able to do right now is run the power cord to an inverter plugged in to the cigarette light right next to the deck which looks pretty dumb IMO. Anyone know of possibly inverters I can mount under the hood anywhere and run the power cord to that or any way to integrate it to something? Thanks for any tips, etc.

When I had an xbox 360 in my car I used a power inverter that hooked up directly to the battery. Its a better way to go. The PS2 draws allot less power so you can get away with using a cigarette outlet powered one. just clip the end off, and tap into the outlet from behind.

thanks for the reply.
i was wanting to get one hooked up directly to battery, but i don't see where i could mount it to have enough room for the hood to close.
