Removing plastic surround fro passthrough?

I'm currently removing the back deck to remove the stock Bose 8 so that i cam replace it with my JL sub but I can't seem to figure out how to get the plastic surround off from the passthrough. I've searched through the fsm but haven't been able to find anything else. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

You did completely remove the rear seats first, right?

After removing the screws and bolts that are visible, you just give it a good yank.

Removed mine the other week, and don't recall any hidden bolts or screws.

Ahh, I was hoping not to have to do that. My rearseats recline so i was able to uncover the back deck without removing the seats but just had the center passthroigh left. Any tricks to the seat? Hidden bolts or just clips? Thanks!

The most hidden of the seat bolts are the ones that you get to through the armrest opening. It's easy to get with a extension connected to a wobble joint connected to a short socket, if you don't have that setup, it's a bit tricky to get at them.

You have to take out the seats first.
Arm rest second.
Side trim after that.
Rear pillar trim after that.
Then you can get the center pass through out.
Finally, you can get the rear deck off.
