USA Spec PA11-NIS & 6th gen ipod nano compatibility
I have a USA Spec PA11-NIS in my 06 G35 coupe with factory nav... all has worked well until I got my 6th gen ipod nano (the newest one with multi-touch). Now it doesn't recognize my ipod anymore.
I emailed USA Spec but haven't heard back (and I can't seem to find a tech support number). It looks like I may need a CBPA 85 cable, but the site says its for 3g ipods, so I'm reluctant to pull the trigger.
Has anyone gotten a 6th gen ipod nano to work on a USA Spec PA11-NIS?

hey shimmy,
i just google searched this issue and found your post. Did you ever find a solution to your 6th gen nano problem? I have a pa11-nis with 1st gen nano, thinking about swapping it out with a new nano.
thanks!

I havent tried it yet, but for 35 bucks worth a try.
But like it says, This new cable will replace the one you currently have. If you bought the kit before the 5v change, this cable will upgrade your kit to work/charge with the 5v ipods/iphones. If using an iPhone, REALLY OLD kits may also require an update from USA Spec, if the kit doesn't have the internal update. There is no way to pre-determine this, you will first need to get the cable, then you can contact USA Spec if your iPhone isn't charging and they will update the box for you. Once again this is for REALLY OLD PA11, PA12 kits.
