What is the best ipod integration?

I got my infiniti on saturday . It is an 06 g35 coupe with bose. My budget for this is $200. Could you please tell me what the best way to hook up my ipod is? What I want is CD quality sound and bass. If you could tell me, that would be great.

Thanks!

I used the Nissan adapter. There's a thread here that discusses it.

It's as close to CD quality as you're going to get from an iPod. Your steering wheel controls will work somewhat, but you'll have to use the buttons on the head unit as well. It's not nearly as user-friendly as a new head unit, but it only takes about a half hour to install.

You might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere, I just added the link so you could get an idea what it is.

Best wishes.

For integrating with the factory system, they're about the same.

But for $200, you can get one of these for $99.99

A metra trim kit for half price when you buy the headunit costs just $90.

You'll get the wiring harness and antenna adapter free through crutchfield, so the whole thing comes to under $200, since shipping's free right now too.

So IMO, that's by far a better iPod adapter than anything that works with the factory headunit.

That's a great option. Wouldn't there still be an expense for the JDM AC controller though? That's another $150 or so.

No, the metra comes with the metra a/c controller. Now, if you want to keep steering wheel controls, it's another $30-40.

no need to change anything. Just call Crutchfield and get the Ipod/MP3 adapter kit for $155. It was easy to install (about an hour) and works great, keeping steering wheel controls. You'll have to google how to take out the head unit. Which is very easy as well
