Problems with Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD

Hey guys,

So i've had the unit for a couple of months...everything was working perfectly until today. i was trying to change the background...now, the player does not play videos anymore! it'll only play audio but no video.

tried to switch the background back to original but it didn't work. super frustrated...any ideas?

thanks

i found a fix from a customer review on amazon for another avh unit!

if this ever happens to you, you just need to go into AUX mode and then set the background to "off." you'll still retain the background in your other sources and you'll be able to watch videos again. i guess when i switched the background to one of the animated gifs, it switched it on in AUX mode automatically or something. turning it off while in SD or Disc mode doesn't work...which was what caused my frustration.

ok, back to loving my car again...

I recently have run into the exact same problem. I have the avh-4300dvd and tried to turn the background to "off" in all modes; including AUX. I just cant seem to get any video playing. Any other suggestions?

If you didn't connect up the parking brake wire, it won't show any video.

I put in a relay so that I could bypass the parking brake. It worked fine for about a week and when I tried it out a few days ago it would not play. It's weird. When I am in DVD mode there is only audio. But when I go to the scene selection menu I get video and audio, then when I hit the back arrow the video goes away again.

Sounds like the relay's screwed.
