Ignition Harness

Hey guys I've tried searching here and elsewhere and cannot locate where the ignition harness is so that I can tap into the accessory wire as a remote turn on. I've looked at the service and owner manuels, here, and google.......

Could I just use a spade connector and tap into the acc fuse in the fuse block?

I would not recommend tapping in to a fuse with a spade connector because you can stretch out the contacts in the fuse block that can lead to poor contact down the road.

The ignition harness runs to the ignition switch in most vehicles (you didn't mention a year). The BCM is also a great place to grab an ignition signal as well as the above mentioned cigarette lighter. If you tap in to a signal at the ignition switch or the BCM make sure you add a .5A fuse to protect the wire you are adding. If you tap in the cigarette lighter it would still be a good idea to add a fuse but not quite as important.
