Why is the vehicle speed wire pointed out in this picture?
The speed wire is pointed out so that it isn't confused with the green signal wire, and for all the people who want to know what the speed wire looks like.

It looks like you're connected correctly to me. Do you have to manually program it?

Manually programming wont work.

I called Axxess and they confirmed its connected properly. I ordered another Axxess to verify the unit i have isnt defective...

Any other possible causes you can think of?

Nothing I can think of. Hopefully the new one takes care of that problem.

The tweeter fit after I modified (dremmeled) the stock housing. Got a little creative with a random screw and a hot glue gun to make them stay put.

I connected the the crossovers and tested the front speakers tonight. Wow they sound freaking amazing. They pump just as much bass as the entire bose system did. I most likely will finish up tomorrow or friday at the latest.

Finally figured out the steering wheel controls... Since my car was stock with bluethooth i had to connect the "voice communication" module back in the trunk. Once I did that, it worked immediately.

Finished up the car this weekend, it sounds amazing. Absolutely no rattles and its clean, clear, loud, and it beats.

I borrowed a much better 12 from a friend, going to order a FI.Q 12" this week. The single JLW3 just isn't cutting it.

Pics coming soon.

Great photos, both the installation and the G look very clean.

I think I would have gone under the dash for the satellite/GPS antennas though. So long as there's no metal above them, reception is just fine.

Hmmm where under your dash do you have them mounted? I didn't think it would work ok covered up.

The antennas are the only thing I'm unhappy with in the installation.

Here's where my GPS antenna is mounted:

Anywhere under the surface of the dash is fine - the factory GPS antenna is behind the clock, there's probably room for another back there, otherwise, just so long as you have metal directly beneath it and no metal above it, it'll receive a signal fine.

As for the satellite radio one, it can go beneath as well, but I'm not sure if it needs the metal directly beneath it.
