pac roem speaker wiring
pac roem speaker wiring
I've just started the install of an aftermarket HU to replace the wonderful bose one in my car. The Jensen HU I have has the usual four speaker (high) wires out, and also four speaker line outs which are terminated in rca plugs.
The pac roem nis2 needs four speaker -ve connections and four each of the high and low +ve connections.
I'm fairly sure that the speaker outs can go to the pac harness logically, connecting to the -ve wires and the +ve "high" wires for front left, front right etc.
With the "low" connections, which I'm guessing are the line levels out of my new hu with rca plugs on the end, do I just use the centre wire for each and connect to the "low" wires on the pac harness? I was just a bit concerned that for these connections, I wouldn't be connecting any -ve wires to the pac harness.
Any help would be most appreciated!

Only use the high level wires for the speakers. If you're doing a subwoofer install later, you'll want to use the low levels ones to go to the aftermarket amp.
And I really hope you were being sarcastic about "wonderful bose".

As usual you are the KING of electronic advice. Thanks vey much! Now I just have to work out the steering wheel controls- my JDM M35 Stagea doesn't have the same plug or wires colors as the G/V35 behind the stereo. Typical. If I don't work it out I'll post up and see how we go!
