I had this adire audio sub in a 4080 box and it was a perfect combo since the sub doesn't require a huge box. There's no modifications at all! I had a good clean 400 watts to the sub with no problems. As long as you keep the gains at a conservative level, your 1000 watt mono amp will be fine. Besides that amp won't put at 1000watts at 4 ohms, more like 600 watts. 1000 watts is peak power and for a 2ohm driver. The adire sub I'm selling is a 4ohm driver. So yes it will work!
