HELP!ECU swap car wont start

Ok let me cut this short;
2006 rev up engine using the 2004 non rev 6speed ECU.
I just received my 2006 rev up 6speed ECU hooked it up and tried starting the car but it just keeps turning over. hooked up the 2004 ecu the car starts again.

I tried doing a ECU reset both ways : 1. disconnected the bat for a long time 2.did the pressing and releasing of the gas paddle .

You might want to try engine or general tech forums, not the car audio/video forum.

just throwing this out there. I thought the chipped keys are coded into the ECU. It is possible that the ECU is looking for the keys that it was previously coded too.

the infiniti dealership.

I am almost positive you need to have it done at the dealership. I don't think it can be done at home.

I have done this before and the key has to be programmed to the new ECU. Some keysmiths can do this as well as the dealer.

However, I'm not sure if a rev-up engine is going to be able to run off of a non rev-up ECU.

Ok I will check with a keysmith as it was installed at the dealership of nissan where I am there aren't any infinity dealer and I am getting **** from the nissan dealer saying they are told from nissan head do not work on north america model cars .

And yes Currently still running with a revup engine with a non-rev ecu. What I get is bad idling and here and there I get a small 100/200 rpm spikes between 4000 / 4500 rpm hard driving or slow driving it's like when I am at 4200 it will drop back to 4100 then back to 4300 and ofcourse the check engine light.
