Not adding navigation, but your stock navigation will work (voice excluded).

Radio: Sony Xplod CDX-GT440U $80 @ crutchfield
Trim kit - 03-04 Metra Kit $99 w/purchase of headunit (link is to gray, other colors available) or 05-07 $162.

Crutchfield includes the wiring harness and antenna adapter free with the radio, so you're at $179 or $240. Add a
steering wheel adapter for $40 steering wheel adapter for $40
, and you're right at $280.

Installation is free if you do it yourself. You'd be far from the first to do their first install using guides found here.

Interesting, I thought I would have lost my nav completely. Are you sure I wouldn't have?

I'm 1000% sure. - From the FAQ section of my shopping list:

Can I use the factory navigation system with a double-din unit?
YES.
Are you sure? My installer says I can't have the navigation and a double din unit.
Your installer is wrong. You will lose the nav voice without taking extraordinary measures, but the nav works just fine with factory nav installed, however, If you plan to keep your factory navigation system, you need to do the JDM route

Here's proof - both 03-04 and 05-07:

The metra needs a little trimming to fit snugly, but works well if you do it right.

Good to know and when it fails next time this is the way I will go. I hired professionals to do mine and even they can screw up. The guy that took out the radio crammed the temperature sensor wire up behind the radio compartment and it was never reconnected til last night when I found the problem myself after reading on here about "heat instead of cold coming from ac". Weirdest thing feeling heat out of driver's side vents and cold out of passenger's. Again thanks for the input.

Doing the brake flush, drive belts and compression rods this weekend.
