I ran new wires but with your setup you wouldn't benefit from running new wires.

Wait, so a speaker is good quality if it costs more money? Man, had I known that I would have not even bothered! I'm such an idiot! I'm so glad I've been enlightened. I might as well just tear all the stuff out, what's the point really.

Or, could you be mistaken? Could a better constructed pieice of equipment actually sound better than the cheaply made Bose pieces? No, no way right?

I think the general concensus here is that cheap speakers are going to sound like crap and/or not last. the bose system IS a horrible speaker system. Yes, your are still upgrading, but with better "crap".

I did see the links though, those are great savings. and i would think that you are going to see an improvement over your stock setup.

I live by go big or go home, taking a small step forward may be ok for you but not for me.

And I also agree it will most likely sound better than stock, but there is more to it than just speakers.

If I had said originally that my speakers were worth close to $600 a bunch of these replies wouldn't be here. Instead I said I paid $180 and people lose their ****. Probably the same people that have to pay $60 for a T-shirt or people won't think it looks good.

It may be the case that even though I'm an electrical engineer I don't understand audio at all.

Not really.

I think we would've laughed harder had you spent 600 on that stuff.

You can do stuff on a budget. I've done plenty audio setups where money was a huge concern. Just gotta know what to pick out.
