** Putting new system in, Need sizes for the highs.. Anyone???? **

Hey guys, I have a 06 coupe. I have made my mind up to do a system. My plan is to run all JL. I'm doin 2 JL 10s, JL hd amps, and JL highs. I'm not really sure of the factor sizes for the highs. I know there are times where you may have to go bigger or smaller depending on manufacture. Does anyone have any info the will help me in pick what size highs I will need. I want to keep everything factory. I don't want to get into cutting holes or any of that stuff. I'm looking for any help anyone can give. Also if anyone has any suggestions on the set up as far as the highs go. I'm into the top notch quality sound.... thxs guys!!!

Why not????? very good quality for one... I have a lot of different stuff like MB Quart, Crystal and so on... In my opinion Jl is one of the best. Why you ask you think somthing is better? I was gonna give Fo-cal a shot but don't know to much about them. or heard them. Jl has very good mid bass highs. The MB quart where great but the highs had no mid bass but they were very very clear just pierced your ears.

Better? That would depend on your goals.

They make good subs with the w6 and w7 and the hd amps are pretty damn awesome.

Everything else sucks for what they ask for. I would look into getting different speakers.

I know about the amps and subs. Never ran the highs but a lot of people say the c-series are very good. I'm looking for sound quality like I said. I want good midbass. I also heard a lot about focal but I never heard them. I love the MB Quart but like I said they have 0 midbass. You seem to have a negative opinion on JL highs it seems but haven't heard you give any others you would go with. Got any ideas?????

Money is not a issue but I'm not just going to go and dump all kinds of money on a system. I have been doing research on the JL highs and the c5 650 have outstanding reviews. Have you ever heard these? From what I was told if I'm going to go JL go with these otherwise use somthing else.

Yeah u don't need 6x9s.. I heard it actually sounds better without them.. it opens up some air space into the car..

I went with Diamond Audio Hex H600S for my fronts, pretty decent set for the price.

I was able to make the tweets fit into the stock location by modifying the housing a bit.
