My 04 battery just moved on on Sunday night, jump started the nxt day and replaced with a new battery at the dealer. Dealer said even though with the new battery, theres still a draw draining my new battery lit by little. I told them my cd changer doesnt work at all and I was pretty sure thats where its drawing from. They took the stereo fuse out and tested, said still a draw. Overall my G works perfectly fine with the new battery, thoug.
They wanted me to diagnose the problem with the fees applied for 2 hours labor around $300 somethin (just for the diagnosing)
I told them fk that and I took my car back home. The next day, I took it my own mechanic and he tested it, theres no draw or drain and battery charging so fine.
I'm confused wtf the dealer trying to say. Those ***** tried to eat me up or somethn?

My guess is that the tech at the dealer is an idiot. Nissan's and Infiniti's all have a very small current draw for something like 15 minutes after the vehicle is turned off and left alone. The current draw is very small at this time and isn't enough to draw any concern. After that time the BCM goes into "sleep" mode with almost no current draw. The tech at the dealer may not have known about this and checked the current draw for only a short time. I've had this throw me for a loop before so I know, luckily I didn't try and charge a customer. Oh, and by the way, I'm a tech for Nissan.
