You will need an entirely new wire harness to complete it. You're better off with an aftermarket headunit with nav.

What year is your current vehicle?

If it's a 07+ sedan or 08+ coupe, you're in the wrong forum - try here instead - https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-aud...ectronics-375/

Also, retrofitting OEM nav is a major PITA (exponentially so if you're a first-gen trying to put second-gen nav in), more expensive than any aftermarket unit, and nowhere near as good.

mine is a 2007 v36 sedan 2nd Gen non-nav.. im desperate to have the dash to look like factory, but have GPS. Since the 2008 looks exactly the same except with NAV, cant i install it without laying the wires in the harness?

Well, the wiring harnesses for nav vs. non-nav in first-gen g35s was different, but there's a chance the wiring is already there in later years.

Try taking this question to the V36 audio/video section I linked in my first reply, they'll probably be better able to answer you.
