Stock door wiring capacity question

So, I've looked at how much of hell you have to go through to get new wiring into the G35 coupe doors and suffice to say I'm not exactly excited about the idea.

Now comes the obvious question, what kind of wattage can the stock wiring handle, how do i know which wire goes where from the amp, and how much will my sound quality suffer if I use it? I'm planning on running a pair of ~120W RMS Boston Pro60SE on an amp that can more than handle it.

I appreciate the input guys.

I've got 150w going to each of the pro60se's in my doors.

The wiring between the amp and the speaker is a/c so you don't need to treat it like DC power wire for your amp. That 1500w microwave in your kitchen? How thick are its wires inside? Yeah, you're fine running 150w through stock wiring.

Alright ... I guess that makes me feel a bit better about it

Since you happen to have the Pro60SE's too ... how easy is install? I'm hoping for a pretty clean, easy swap from my bose system, though I did buy spacers from zenclosures just in case. I plan on mounting the tweeters coaxially.

You will need to dynamat the doors . I just got my coupe a few months ago so I haven't done audio mods yet.... (working on art pipes and engine stuff now)

I been reading on foam padding here and it seems a good idea since dynamat is some heavy stuff...

On my trailblazer I added about 20 sq ft on each front doors and they became really heavy. I notice the g35 doors are already a bit heavy/solid (the trailblazer are a bit light/ sheet metal a bit thin) you might not need a lot of dynamat. Maybe a good combo of dynamat and foam padding with do the trick...

Here is a good link...

Theres actually not a lot of vibrating going on in my G, especially not in the doors. The sub does cause some havoc when I have it really loud, and I may do the trunk. But other than that, I think Im happy with the way it turned out.
