Can I install a stock navigation system in my G if it didn't come with it? Asked the dealer but they said "no" but the also looked more interested in getting me in a new g. Is the dealer right?

 

Yes, you can. It takes A LOT of time, patience, and knowledge. Very few people have done so and most people opt to go with a Double Din setup.

This question has probably been asked a million and six times (now a million and seven). I'm surprised it isn't stickied.

 

The dealer's wrong, you can, but you're both stupid and a masochist if you do it.



Enjoy removing your interior to install the new wiring harness, and putting hours and hours of work to get a navigation system that's 1/10th as good as a $50 garmin.
