getting power wire through firewall

I am debating on whether or not i want to install my system myself... i took a glance under the hood and had a hard time finding a spot where i could get the power wire through.... Is the install hard/easy? Ive done several installs on my passed cars but this one seems it may be tough.... if anyone has a DIY with working pics , i searched but all the links are not workin corectly....

I watched my installer run the power wire from the battery to behind the motor and across to the other side of the car- I guess there was some sort of opening there. Hope that helps.

It's real easy. Just time consuming. Behind the battery is a gromit leading into the cabin on the extreme passenger side. Take apart the glove box as seen in the numerous DIY. You will see the other end of the gromit. Poke a hole and feed your cable through.

I drilled a hole right under the ECU. It ended up right in the battery compartment, and I didn't have to take the glove box out. If I remember right the grommet is right above the ECU which can lead to water dripping on it if you don't seal the hole. Drilling a hole under the ECU eliminates that from happening.
